American Association of Exporters and Importers (AAEI) released the 2011 AAEI Benchmarking Highlights, available to members and non-members with no fee required. These highlights were written by subject matter experts and offer a synopsis of the state of internal trade, focusing on four core areas: importing, exporting, security and product safety.
The 2011 AAEI Benchmarking Survey included 43 questions on security and the 2011 highlights show that the vast majority of respondents (84%) indicated that they participate in a voluntary security program with 100% indicating that C-TPAT was the program of choice.
The AAEI Benchmarking Highlights provide trade compliance professionals and policymakers with an overview on international trade practices. They help assess the impact of US trade policies and economic conditions on international trade and reveal trends in compliance practices from year-to-year.
