Initiation Date for Liquidated Damages for ISF Non-Compliance

A recent CSMS Message#13-000298 announces that on July 9, 2013, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will begin full enforcement of Importer Security Filing (ISF) and will start issuing liquidated damages against ISF importers and carriers for ISF non-compliance. This is being carried out in order to achieve the most compliance with the least disruption to the trade and domestic port operations.
