- Look at Global Impact Now
- Take a look all of your products to come up with a distinct list of WCO 6 digit subheadings
- Determine the 6 digit subheadings that will be impacted by WCO 2012 Changes
- Plan Globally
- Go ahead and determine the new 6 digit WCO 2012 HS Number for each of your products that are impacted; this will minimize the time it takes to do country specific classifications
- Stay up-to-date when countries release their 2012 HS information
- Determine what your source for each of the countries tariff schedule will be for your company
- Sign up for email notification or come up with a plan to determine how to become aware a tariff schedule has updated
- Countries may release their 2012 Tariff Schedule before January 1, 2012, and this will allow for you to classify prior to the date it takes affect

- Replace – This means that the HS Numbers in the 2007 are replaced with the HS Numbers in the 2012 HS Number Column
- Update – The description of this heading or subheading was updated
- New – This is a new HS Number with the 2012 WCO HS Updates
- Delete – This 2007 HS number has been removed

ALADI 2012 Updates - Currently, there is not any information for the South American ALADI Countries. The information will be available once it has been approved by the government of each country. In 2007 - Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay approved the HS Updates in January, Argentina in May, and Ecuador was in October. However, Venezuela never approved the 2007 resolution and might approve both 2007 and 2012 at the same time.
